Today’s Smoothie: Strawberry Peach
I was just taking a break from work and ended up making a smoothie with my daughter. I was thinking of making a peanut butter banana smoothie but Morgan wanted something with strawberries. That was a good idea since we had some really good fresh strawberries from Strawberry Hill farm in South Carolina. The grower brings them up to our little mountain market once a week and we often buy a gallon at a time. They are so perfectly ripe, it’s truly amazing.
We added about a dozen or so big strawberries to the blender with the tops on of course. So we had our primary flavor and we wanted to complement it with something. Peaches from SC are also starting to come in season here so we took one of those and after removing the pit, added it to the blender too. Then we put about 2 1/2 frozen bananas on top and about a cup of soy milk. A few seconds later he had a tasty smoothie for two.
Try it out and let me know what you think.
